This agreement

By installing or using Fitmeister, joining the testing programme, or using fitmeister.app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the provider of Fitmeister, and “you” means the person using it.

Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Fitmeister on devices you control, for your own training. You may not resell it, rent it out, or redistribute it. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction.

Testing programme

Fitmeister is currently distributed through Google Play testing tracks and has not been publicly released. If you take part:

The software is pre-release. It will contain bugs, features will change, and behaviour may break between builds.
You should keep your own backups. Use the export feature regularly. We cannot guarantee that test data survives every update.
Places are limited and allocated at our discretion, and we may end the programme or remove a tester at any time.
Feedback you send us — bug reports, suggestions, complaints — may be used to improve the product without obligation or payment to you.
Testers are not charged for paid features during the testing period.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access to it secure and for activity that happens under it. Do not share your credentials. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13, to create an account.

Pro subscriptions

Core workout tracking is free. Some features, such as hosted AI coaching and cloud sync, may require a paid Pro subscription.

Subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play, and Google Play’s payment terms apply to the transaction.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel through your Google Play account settings before the renewal date.
Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy and any statutory rights you have. If Play declines a refund you believe is fair, contact us and we will look at it.
Prices may change. We will give notice before a change affects an existing subscription, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
If a subscription lapses, your data is not deleted. Paid features simply stop working, and your locally stored training history remains yours.

AI coaching

AI-generated programs, explanations, and suggestions are produced by a language model and can be wrong. They are informational, not instructions from a qualified coach. Review anything the AI suggests against your own judgement and experience before training on it. You remain responsible for what you actually lift.

Health disclaimer

Fitmeister is a fitness tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Metrics such as BMI, estimated one-rep max, and calorie figures are estimates derived from the data you enter.

Strength training carries risk of injury. Consult a doctor before starting a new training or nutrition programme, particularly if you have an existing condition, are pregnant, or are returning from injury. Stop and seek medical attention if something hurts. You train at your own risk.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app for anything unlawful
Attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems that are not yours
Interfere with, overload, or probe our infrastructure, including the sign-up endpoint on this site
Upload content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights
Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from our services

Your content

Your training data is yours. You keep all rights to it. If you turn on sync, you grant us only the narrow permission needed to store, transmit, and restore that data so the feature can work. We claim no ownership of it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

You are responsible for the legality of content you import, including data exported from other services, and you confirm you have the right to use it.

Availability

The app itself works offline and does not depend on us being online. Server-backed features — sync, hosted AI, this website — are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and during the testing period we may take features down without notice.

Intellectual property

The Fitmeister name, logo, app, and website content are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you no right to use our branding beyond ordinary use of the app. Third-party names such as Google Play, Android, Health Connect, Hevy, and Strong belong to their respective owners, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Fitmeister is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, for lost profits, or for loss or corruption of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using Fitmeister at any time by uninstalling it, and you may delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. Where practical we will give notice and time to export your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify users in the app or by email. Continuing to use Fitmeister after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and the courts of the Netherlands have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home jurisdiction.
